Entry Requirements
- (1) Applicants must be healthy, non-Chinese citizens and foreign passport holders with a corresponding high school diploma (or above). Applicants should be born after January 1st, 1995 and have no criminal record.
- (2) Applicants should submit a HSK certificate (Level 4 or above). Applicants who don't meet the language requirements must apply for one year of Chinese language studies before entering their major studies. (No language certificate is required for Malaysian independent high school graduates.)
- (3) As for residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have applied for Nankai University as international students after immigrating abroad, the university will observe the “Notice of the Ministry of Education on Regulating Acceptance of Foreign Students by Higher Education” issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

Program Description
Entrance Examination:

- Test Subjects:
- For literal: Chinese, Chinese Introduction (no need for applying Chinese Programs, applicants for Chinee programs with new HSK level 4 or above exempted from taking Chinese examination)
- For economics and management: Chinese, Math, Chinese Introduction
- For science, engineering, medicine: Chinese, Math, Professional Interview
- Applicants with new HSK level 5 or above exempted from taking Chinese examination
- Applicants for English major should have English interview. Date and Place for interview can be seen in your admission ticket.

*1. Certificate of no criminal record issued by the relevant local authority.
*2. One Letter of recommendation
Self-supported students need a letter of recommendation from their high school teacher; The phone number and email address of the person issuing the recommendation should be included.
*3. Personal Statement
Including a study or research plan, financial situation, reasons for scholarship application, honors and awards, personal strengths, etc. (no less than 800 words).
*4. Physical Examination Form(only valid for 6 months)
The physical examination must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms, forms without the signature of the attending physician or the official stamp of the hospital, or forms without a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule, as the result will be valid for only 6 months.
5. Chinese citizens who apply for Nankai University as international students after immigrating abroad must also submit:
a. Certificate of naturalization;
b. Passport entry and exit records for the last 4 years; or a two-year proof (at least) of residence abroad for the last four years (a full or longer period of nine months of residence abroad can be counted as one year as verified by entry and exit records);6. Others
Other materials that can prove the applicants’ learning ability and comprehensive abilities, such as award certificates in sports or the arts, specialty certificates, published papers, undergraduate admission notices issued by other universities, etc.

*8. Senior High school academic transcript
Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
*9. Notarized diploma of Senior High School obtained.
Applicants expecting to graduate this academic year must submit an official document issued by their current school to prove their current student status and expected graduation date.
*10. Certificate of HSK

*11. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included(Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months. Applicants currently residing in China must include a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.)
12. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
